关于自由意志，可能还只是个verbal debate，但是，如果涉及道德责任，那么就是一个substantive debate了。

在Strawson的文章中，他设想了两个立场contenders：

Pessimist: an incompatibilist who believes that determinism is most likely true. 【立场接近hard determinism】决定论很可能是真的。

Optimist: a consequentialist compatibilist who believes that, whether or not determinism is true, our familiar practices of holding others responsible are justified by their consequences. 无论决定论真与假，我们对他人持有责任的实践（如怨恨）是因其结果而正当的。
